At Lisa Guilfoyle Counselling, I provide a safe, confidential, and non-judgmental space where you can explore and work through the challenges you may be facing. Based in Lichfield, Staffordshire, I offer face-to-face therapy from my cosy office in Central Lichfield, or online video sessions, providing flexible support tailored to your needs.
Qualified in 2018 from Keele University with a PG Dip (L7) in Counselling Psychology. I am a registered member (MBACP) of the British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy. I work with a wide range of clients and I strive to offer a safe, inclusive and confidential space to all.
Although the above are my niche areas that I specialise in, I also have significant experience in supporting clients that bring other things that they need to process or need support navigating; trauma, addiction, anxiety, depression, to name just a few.
My practice is open to everyone. I pride myself on being welcoming and inclusive, supporting individuals of any gender identity, sexual orientation (LGBTQ+), or background. I welcome clients whoever you are, and whatever you are dealing with. Everyone is guaranteed a safe, none judgmental and respectful space.
As a specialist in fertility counselling, with additional training from the British Infertility Counselling Association (BICA), I understand the unique emotional difficulties surrounding infertility, IVF, surrogacy, and pregnancy loss. I can help you navigate these sensitive areas with care, empathy, and expert guidance.
I have also worked with 100s of IPs and Surrogates, who are either right at the very beginning of their surrogacy journey, helping navigate the complex emotions and ups and downs of the process, right through to when baby is born, and after, should any further support be needed by either the IPs or the Surrogate.
Surrogacy isn't always a fertility issue, and the families I work with all come to surrogacy for very different reasons, and the families I work with all look different too.
I use a variety of therapeutic approaches to suit your individual needs:
A compassionate, client-led approach to help you explore your thoughts and feelings in a safe space.
Combining different therapeutic methods to tailor the counselling experience to your unique situation.
Support and guidance for individuals to discover more about how their ADHD effects them, and to discover strategies and ways to learn to manage it, and live with it better.
